Joby D. Jerrells

Joby was born and raised right here in Monroe County. Though neither of his parents graduated from high school, Joby attended Indiana University and earned a Bachelors degree and a Masters degree in Public Affairs. Joby put his wife Lisa through medical school and after she completed her residency in family practice, Joby returned to law school and graduated with honors.
Joby is a past Deputy Attorney General for the State of Indiana and a past Monroe County Deputy Prosecutor, serving as the Prosecutors representative on the Monroe Drug Treatment Court. Joby has worked on hundreds of criminal and civil appeals reviewing the decisions of trial court judges all across Indiana. Joby has argued numerous times in the Indiana Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, and Tax Court. Joby and his wife Dr. Lisa Jerrells have two daughters, ages 8 and 5.
